One recent comment to this video on YouTube says:
"I work at Clear Channel Radio in Columbus and this guy is going to be on The Dave and Jimmy Show tomorrow morning on our station WNCI 97.9. I just overheard that every local station and several National stations including CNN and the Today Show will be here to talk with this guy tomorrow morning!" |

Sarah Palin complains about homeless vo. When asked why, she requested that our reporter simplify the question. |

Philip's right, this clip is now doing the Social Media rounds. Without wishing to seem like I'm not compassionate about this guy's situation, I'm constantly being told that having a "great set of pipes" does not make you a voiceover artist. It takes years of hard work, practice, understanding and interpretation of copy and diligence. Simply being able to say "Next on Rock FM 97.3, we have REO Speedwagon" in a deep voice, doesn't make you a voiceover artist.
Needless to say he'll be picked up and will appear on talk shows and will get gigs out of it. Seems like my lessons with Nancy are bloody pointless!!

No but it might make a you a DJ. And DJ's are not voice over artists. _________________ Jeff

Something about this has me goin, "Eh, wait a minute." The guy's "homeless" for a reason...and I'm sure the Ohio Dept. of Social Services know why in this particular case. Not trying to rain on a parade...just sayin. _________________ www.voiceoverdrew.com

I too am waiting for the shoe to drop but in the meantime, I am counting on the reporter from the Columbus Dispatch (who filed the video) to have done his due diligence.
So I believe its for real and believe that my good thoughts and wishes are going to help, knowing that drug addiction is not funny, nor alcoholism nor homelessness. Its unbearable I should think and we are blissful in our ignorance.
A job, DJ or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated I would think if this plight is true...and if publicity helps him, then good on him.
And if this is a hoax, the sad truth is its probably very true for someone out there who doesn't have a video made about them. Likely someone AND their family. How crushingly unfunny that must be. _________________ - Peter
