This is the one I referred to in Brad's thread. Josh is an honest guy. We've dealt with each other on several occasions. Just a couple of guys with bad G.A.S.! _________________ John Weeks Voice Overs

I just got my M930 from Brad Venable, and it sounds AWESOME! I've been in business for 20 years now, and I do believe that this is my all-time favorite mic (on MY voice, at least). At this price, it is a steal. _________________ Best regards,

Daking is sold.
Will do $850 on the M930, you pay paypal. A money order is fine too so we can both avoid the Paypal fee's. _________________ Josh Mahler

Same for me, this is my go-to mic. And I paid around $1200 new for it a couple of years ago. |

Man, I really wanted the M930 to be "THE" mic for me, but it just isn't, unfortunately. Same with the Brauner, but you guys were right about that mic. Sounded good, but not quite the sound I was looking for.
Oddly enough, I just bought a MXL 2003a/Cr24, and for how cheap it is, I can't believe how nice it sounds. After some mods, it should really be a solid mic.
I'd also be interested in trading the M930 for an MKH 416 that is in excellent shape if anyone is interested. Mine just took a dump. _________________ Josh Mahler

Did your 416 die on you? Or did you have a bad day with it and decide to sell it(which I have done a time or two) and then start missing it again. |

I've definitely had the bad day thing with that mic! But now it's broken. It intermittently drops out the high end. Like a high cut at 10k. The capsule looks to be in perfect shape, so I'm assuming some electrical component is going bad. Although I'm no mic tech, so I'm really just talking out my arse.
According to Sennheiser, it looks like their standard repair fee's could cost nearly as much as this mic costed used.
Anyone know of a good mic tech in St. Louis? _________________ Josh Mahler

I've heard Sennheiser is pretty good about warranty repairs if it's anywhere reasonably near the coverage period. You might try contacting them. |

Rob,
I'm pretty sure Josh bought it used. _________________ John Weeks Voice Overs

Unfortunately it's WAAAAY out of warranty. I bought it used and think it's about 10 years old or more. _________________ Josh Mahler

They dropped the prices on the 416s last year, new ones are under a grand now. _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker

Well, I just talked to JJ Audio to order a mic. They are going to repair and recap the 416 for a great price. _________________ Josh Mahler

Sennheiser repaired my 416 for about $90 (it got real bassy and lost high end) but it took them 4 weeks to get it back to me.
