Hi. The other day, I voiced and edited this "trailer". Just out of curiosity, please tell me your thoughts about the voiceover of this trailer.

The big obvious thing is that you're slurring your words. Trailer VO has very distinct pronunciations and inflections. Your read comes off as being bored.

What I'm hearing is a lack of passion. It sounds like you're focusing on getting your voice deep and minimizing inflection, but those are only surface components of this kind of trailer voice delivery. It's also rather soft, which is creating that bored feeling that Jeffrey described. There has to be passion behind what you're saying, and to some extent that will drive the other elements.

As with many things, it helps a lot to picture the person to whom you're talking. Pick a close friend. By the end of the trailer, you want that friend on the edge of his seat, eager to see/hear the story that you've just set-up. That's your motivation.
