Update: I've done a handful of tests and something's fried somewhere. Sigh.
I finally got my ISDN service in and working in the new place, but one client on Friday had problems with my audio clipping in and out on their end but the problem was not in my audio editor. A second client experienced a tiny bit of that then we had a fine half hour of recording. Both engineers have suggested replacing the cables between my interface and codec, which I've now done.
If you're available to call into my ISDN in the near future, I'd enjoy a test and a chat /////
Thanks!

Many thanks for your offers of help. Sadly, from the tests I've done, something's fried somewhere. The codec shows it's getting audio, and I can lock and frame with others, and I can hear them, they just can't hear me....which doesn't work very well for a session.
Arrrrgh. Many phone calls tomorrow morning to the tech folks.

Must be something in the stars about weird tech glitches. We've lost Marcy's. ATT biz phone line twice in in a week after the rains. This has been a recurring problem with ATT the past 15 yrs. We had Sheriff Deputies show up the last time saying it came in as a 911 call with an open line. They have had a lot of that with the rain.
It would be a week to get a tech out with all the calls they have. We gave up and got here a cheap cell phone and are having the number transferred to Verizon. Now the line started working. Of course we've seen about a half dozen ATT trucks working in the neighborhood. Doesn't look good for me to get ISDN when the time is right.
Is Mercury in retrograde or something. Good luck Bruce. _________________ Gregory Best

Hi Bruce,
I just saw this and can not for the life of me remember when we hooked up. I hope it was after this post. Give me a ring or shoot me an e mail if it is still acting up and we can get it figured out. |
