I had the privilege to teach exertion sound skills with Pat Fraley, on Saturday (January 15, 2011). Pat directed from the control room, I was in the shark tank with the participants showing how to make the sounds of fighting, hitting, and being hit— and being the designated tackle dummy if needed
In this pic, we're in a modified martial arts stance as we watch a sword fight.
The Facebook Album for this is HERE. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I saw this album yesterday. Thought "note to self, do not piss DB Cooper off!"
Looks like it was great fun. Cool that you got to teach with Pat! I enjoyed the class I took with him quite a bit.

You discover the darnedest ways to make noises that sound like fighting.
I called this "Shall We Dance?"
It's a technique for sounding like you're fighting and then landing hard.
Here it is in action with Nancy Linari— the actor struggles with and then pulls sharply on the waist of the "designated dummy". The clash of bodies really causes you to make "impact" exertion without getting hurt.

That Shall We Dance move is brilliant, as are you and Nancy Linari. Love the pix, but it would've been better to see for reals. _________________ Bobbin Beam
