Free music? I guess you get what you pay for.
I recently felt the need to expand my own production music library and found these folks on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160537662091&category=21166&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_18863wt_1140
I purchased and downloaded the audio and much of it is quite well done, well-orchestrated and contemporary. A very good deal for only $130, and they offer smaller packages, too, if you're not looking to spend that much. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

The footage Firm = WTF? Ten CD's "Free". You only pay $84 in shipping and handling. Since when does it cost $84 to ship 10 cds? Are they packaged in solid lead? _________________ Jeff

jeff - you forgot "handling" ... i'll bet there is a good deal of "handling". i checked out the footage firm, though - most of it is pretty ... not bad - and $9/CD isn't a bad price - without regard to how they brand it as "free", and you don't have to get all of them - you can pick up the genres that interest you.
that said - i haven't bought anything from them - i just checked it out a couple of weeks ago. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Be aware that freeplay is great if you want to listen to lots of stock production tracks.
But once you need to BUY one, it's ANYTHING but free.
Found a great news bed for a project I did a few years back, and since the project was being syndicated the rights to the single 2:32 music track set us back a coupla benjamins. Be careful out there, folks. There are no free lunches. _________________ Jody Silvers

Since every infomercial on TV offers a second item free but adds, "Just pay separate shipping and processing," it should be pretty clear by now that the profit is in the "processing." _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
