My interest was much higher than normal when I heard our National Public Radio network interviewing a variety of "experts" yesterday, some warning of the dangers of a takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood, and others proclaiming that highly unlikely. I was pleased to hear the host challenge the doomsayers on their arguments. From your comments, and my understanding of the diverse and heavily secular makeup of Egypt's population, the chances of an Islamist takeover seem quite remote.

Taji -

here I sit, listening to Debussy (filling in as NPR classical music host on local affiliate, talk about playing the acting role of a lifetime) and getting paid for it, and life seems so safe compared to what you and your family are facing. Thoughts and prayers to you - you have done so much for our VO community and we are all pulling for you. Please keep us posted. Seems silly to complain about all the buckets in my house catching the leaks from all the snow and ice on our roofs and gutters. Perspective. Hang in there.
