Wow. Pint-sized virtuoso! Thanks for sharing.

However, I was much more impressed by the same kid playing the violin...at stinking three years old:

I think what impressed me was the committment to the whole movement - long time for a 3 year old to concentrate.

I reposted it on my blog today - discussing just what it takes to be "great."

Connie, thanks for posting the link. That was awesome! Laugh He seriously has more character than some adult conductors I have worked with, LOL!! And yes, the attention span is remarkable.

I love it when he dances along to the music while conducting - soooo cute!!!

I watched the video of him playing the violin too. Having never played strings, I have no idea about the skill levels required to play a relatively simple piece such as this, but it was surprising how well he could keep it in tune overall, and even shaped the music. I mean, as a soloist he was actually leading the performance!

Pretty amazing. The kid surely has a bright future as a musician!

Jen

I've been to many classical concerts, and I must say that he was a breath of fresh air. Thanks for posting it. What a great way to start my day!

Check out my blog if you have a chance. I expanded (expounded) a bit more on the idea of total committment to something - which this child obviously has.
