Can anybody explain to me the point of the Branching Out a on Facebook? Does it serve any purpose that is not currently served by entities such as LinkedIn or the good ole VO-BB? Does it serve any purpose at all?
If all I'd get out of it is the ability to decorate my Facebook page with swell gold and silver coins, I might as well just shop at the Big Y (a little western New England joke there). _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I joined last week Lee, and I was also wondering about the virtues of Branched Out. I guess you could call it a "LinkedIn Lite" that you can import your LinkedIn profile with and endorse/recommend others like you can on LinkedIn. I don't know if many folks use LinkedIn to find voice talent so I guess it's a pretty good gateway to that as well as a good way for people to get a snapshot of your credentials. I know it's like opening a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, but it can't hurt!
I'll tell you what though, I'll take Branched Out over the recent plague of 483,912 redundant voiceover-related Facebook groups that has caused nothing but discord over the past few months. Some of them are great but most are just white noise. _________________ Tom Dheere - The "H" is Silent, but I'm Not!

What bothers me is the endless requests for endorsements....from people I have never met or worked with. Endorse what exactly? _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Blocking is the source of serenity on FB.
I'm permanently "offline" as well. _________________ DBCooperVO.com
