Lee,

A couple of years ago we had a project where we had to film a scientist standing outside next to a radio telescope antenna while he explained what it did. We had just gotten everything set and he no sooner opened his mouth than a fusillade of gunshots rang out. We waited, they died down. We stopped laughing, got all ready to do it again, and again, the minute he opened his mouth gunshots ring out. This went on for a while. We called up to the main building and one of the other folks found out what was going on.

Turns out the local police department had their shooting range over the next hill and THAT was their day to do target practice. Who knew?

But, we got some funny outtakes from it. Wink

here's a private link to one of them... it's an uploaded mov at 320 x 240, cut down from the original size. it's not the final product.

Love the header today, Deebs! Wink

BTW: that gunfire scene played out several times over the course of the shooting schedule over a year or so. It got to be a running joke that we were going out to "shoot Phil" (the scientist).
