I was watching the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary special on PBS with my daughter last night, and when Eponine first appeared, the first thing I thought of was that it could be Kara Edwards' sister.

I can't be sure who I prefer being referred to:

Orson Welles

Or Jackie Gleason

Or maybe Johnathan Frakes....

I had a lot of people tell me I looked like Nicholas Cage over the years. I would consistently scoff at this- I don't look anything like him.

I mentioned it to my wife and she agreed that there was no resemblance at all. Then the movie "Bringing Out The Dead" came out- where Cage plays an ambulance driver/EMT who is slowly losing his sanity, or maybe realizing he already lost it.

We were watching it on TV one night. There's a scene in the movie where he's driving the ambulance at breakneck speeds in a haze of fatigue and stress. He turns to the passenger and laughs maniacally with his eyes wide and a terrifying leer.

And my lovely wife turns to me right at that instant and says "Oh, I see what people mean, you DO look like Nicholas Cage."

A pause, while I digest that.

"EXACTLY like him."

The expression in question is at 2:10-2:20 here:

Well I've got quite a few pounds on Bridges and he's got a bunch more wrinkles than I do. Oh and he's got a bizzillion times more money than I do. And he's a way better actor than I am.

Wow- rarely do I see the 'you look like...' resemblance, but I kinda see that one Don! The other one I hear ALL the time and kinda see is Kristen Davis.

And Monk...I see all of those!!
