Amen! Though I have to wonder: why didn't they also get an 11-year-old to wear the mocap suit? _________________ Justin S. Barrett

I would imagine that Seth Green's 11-year old motions are much more manic and over the top than your typical 11-year old. Sort of a caricature of the 11-year old that the director was no doubt aiming. I imagine it was easier on the logistics, since an 11-year old would require many many extra breaks and a break in the workday to attend to educational requirements.
I too am very happy for Master Dusky, but I have to tell you: The movie looks like a real stinker. My own 11-year old winces every time the trailer is shown - which is often.
Personally the animation is too weird for me to be able to endure. If they're going for realism, then go for it. If they're going for cartoonish then do that. The producers seem to have decided to try both. Which hits that level of uncomfortable-ness with me.
But that's just my opinion. That and a buck-fifty will get you half a cuppa Starbucks. _________________ Jody Silvers
