Thanks for this... the guys over at Gearslutz are all over it too!
For those interested, from what I can see it's a retail package (made for Guitar Center and Musician's Friend et al) that boxes the MXL 2003a and the MXL 603. From the reports I've seen, the only difference is the black chrome finish (like it or loathe it).
Sixty bucks with case, mounts and a pair of gloves! It's gotta be worth a look.
