Well done, sir, especially for a first outing.
Harder than it looks, ain't it.
Now, keep going.

+1 to everyone else here. Nicely done and you are a good fit for the subject matter. I've done a bit of on-camera over the years and own a wireless ear-prompter:
http://ear-prompter.com/
They take some practice to get used to, but are wonderful for long-form, on-camera narrations, ESPECIALLY in situations where you can't just look at a screen-prompter the whole time.
Kudos on this. Well done! Hope it leads to more for you. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

thanks for the great feedback! The studio team was shocked to see me when I walked in...they were not aware that I wear glasses and it seems eyeglasses play hell on green screens...they were thinking they were going to have me do this minus the glasses and no teleprompter...I was starting to panic...luckily they got the lightening the way they needed.... Definitely quite an experience and no not as easy as I thought. Thanks again for the great comments! |

Bruce this was a first actual on-camera gig. A few years ago one of my agents sent me on an on-camera audition and I absolutely bombed. So I was very hesitant about doing this. I am feeling good today though, not just because it is Friday but the client called yesterday to tell me everyone is very pleased. I will admit it was uncomfortable to watch. I have heard that some well known VOs don't like listening to themselves. I never experienced that but definitely did on the videos. I reluctantly decided to send the link to my agents and clients but have received some great feedback...who knows...maybe this will open a door or two. Thanks! |

Nice work, Jeff!
Re: the comment about the oddity at :49, it sounds like the folks who edited the piece were just a tad too aggressive with their dynamics processing. Most of the word "usage" there is greatly muted, except for the "s". _________________ Justin S. Barrett
