Just read this NY Times medical blog on effective cures for sinus troubles. If you're an occasional to regular sufferer it looks like the Neti pot is THE sure fire solution according to these experts for reasons explained.
There is one other thing they suggest, but OWWW, I'd do anything to avoid that!!

| Yep...I was resistant to the Neti products for a while (cause it's so damn gross!), but once I got on board I regretted no doing so sooner. |

The neti pot is my hero. No longer do I get the daily question - "do you have a cold?" It may be gross, but you get used to it and it's soooooo worth it! Probably the best thing I've ever done for myself healthwise.

I don't neti as much anymore, but I do use the Sinus irrigator thing. Basically a squeeze bottle the forces salinated water into your nasal passages. Has a much further reach than the neti and cleans more out.
