Using the MicPort Pro ... How can I run a set of headphones for recording + monitors for playback?

Thanks!

There's a headphone plug at the back of the mic port pro.
If this is annoying, you can also change the audio output in your recording software so it goes out through the computer headphone jack.

You could get a mixer and feed the output of the MHobo Tounge to a channel. Or perhaps a studio control center (like the Presonus Central Station) will work for you. The mixer is probably the more cost effective way to go and will probably be more useful in the long run.

As long as you are mixer shopping, you should consider getting a USB mixer so you don't need the MHobo Tounge.

I hope this helps.

Well, that is a problem isn't it?

It will ether be one, or the other - headphone or monitors.

So you'll need a Stereo 1/8” headphone jack adaptor for whatever input your (Powered) speakers are, or whatever your speaker amplifier is or needs.

Once you get the proper adaptor, you can unplug your headphones and plug in your monitors as you need to.

Or if you have a mixer, you could possibly route the MHobo Tounge headphone signal through it -- but that would depend on if you have a mixer and what mixer it is.
The process would not be much different then hooking up your own Home Theater http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPA435yIuzQ

You can get one of those splitters than run out from a 1/8" male to two 1/8" females, and plug your phones into one and the monitors into the other...when you record, hit the off switch on the monitors or turn down the gain on the monitors...

the question I would ask is....why are you running monitors out of the Mic Port? I would set the playback output to the computer soundcard and run the monitors off of there....

I run my headphone out into a mixer. However, I've not successfully been able to run the soundcard out into the mixer at the same time. It makes the micport record a horrible distorted sound. There's some weird electronic thing going on. YMMV.

Headphones into MHobo Tounge
Speakers into built-in sound card
Set playback driver to built-in sound for speakers, MHobo Tounge for headphones.

Ditto to George's answer. There won't be any latency issues that way, right?

Depends on the AHobo Tounge. It's an either/or situation, you can't do both at the same time.
