VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

It was 5 years ago this very day when I first joined this wonderful gathering of voiceover folk. In these intervening years I've had the joy and delight of meeting many of you face-to-face (and look forward to adding to that number at Faffcon 3 this September). I've made some of my dearest and most precious friendships. Transitioned from corporate drone to full-time voiceover. Traveled to the UK 3 times. Made flights and drives back and forth across North America both above and below the US/Canadian border. Have shared tears now and then, many laughs, numerous meals and lots of hugs.

What an amazing time is has been. I can hardly wait to see what the next 5 years bring. Thank you, one and all, for your friendship and encouragement. But most of all, thank you, Deirdre for providing us this unique place in cyberspace. My home away from home. The VO-BB!

How on EARTH can you even remember that?
I'm lucky to remember my anniversary.
As far as v/o goes, I'm thinkin' it was sometime in the early 2000's when I made the transition.....

I am so glad that you found this place- and so glad that you've shared so much of yourself here. You are an encourager, a mentor, a role model, a ride-giver to airports and a wicked freakin nice guy....and that I found this place (I'll never forget DB saying to me at a Pat Fraley workshop in Boston- "What do you mean, you don't know about the VO-BB?)

I am blessed to know you Bob- and super lucky to be able to call you a friend- and some of our best conversations have had nothing to do with VO....which is perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned.

I had to peek at my anniversary date- I'm not far behind you - Sept. 11, 06.
