|
|
Hi folks,
I'm still an uber newbie here and I appreciate any input you may have on the topic of production libraries.
Mainly I'd love to know if anybody has found a prod library that sounds like something OTHER than elevator music. Something you may even call "hip" or "modern."
Oh, and which is relatively affordable?
Thanks,
Simone

Hrm... aside from the $ thing it depends how specific one's agenda is, also how one's working.
The more producer / original composer the process, also the more specific and and ongoing the needs are, the more I'll tend to look to places like BigFish Audio for music and SoundSnap for sound effects.
Otherwise, sites that are more straight-up stock for more straight-up downloading and looping etc., they'll work fine and the content licensing will be much more affordable. _________________ Scott Reyns, voice talent serving major metros (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York) and beyond |

Most production music sites offer a wide variety of styles, and many include various forms of fairly "hip" music. You can buy CD's of just one style or you may want just single cuts. To go hunting, Google the term: royalty free music
There's a wide range of quality and price.

+1 on the Digital Juice stuff. Really comes in handy having it around. I'm using quite a bit of it on my webseries. _________________ Pam Tierney

Music Bakery is very good. You can pay per piece.
Include it your invoice to the client.
Hip, contemporary, Major Market, National style, commercial music can be pricey. Because it's good, and not just some guy with a synthesizer. _________________ www.asapaudio.com |

I, too, have a number of Digital Juice cds and libraries and I also added the Muse Music library which I found on ebay. It's more hit-and-miss than Digital Juice, but for the price I got a lot of nice stuff to round out what I was missing in the D.J. library. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Jewelbeat...recently discussed in another thread here...has been working well for me here. Also Digital Juice, Bob's Music Cafe and one that you may still find on ebay called "Radioactive Drums" (sounds like older AV Deli stuff) _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.
