You know that special hard drive where you keep all your creative projects? — that nifty, cool little drive that you can so easily slip into pocket of your computer bag? The one that has all your art projects and notes in it?
The one that you just backed up last week? You REALLY SHOULD back it up every day.
My creative projects drive disappeared this morning off the desktop, but luckily for ME, it's just a messed up hardwire connector. I've got it transferring to another HD now because I've got the connector in a yoga position that defies comprehension.
Don't anybody sneeze. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

One of several reasons why I began using Carbonite several years ago. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

We run Windows Home Server on our home theater PC; this lets us watch Netflix/Hulu on that PC, and it also serves as the backup point for all the computers in the house.
We back up our tracking room, our mixing room, and the living room PC. Oh, and it also runs our websites in a VMWare slice, running Linux.
My next task for that PC is to add a second 2TB drive of the same model and enabling mirroring (RAID 1) in software in case that drive fails.
You can never....ever....have enough backups. |

Backup to a different drive and then back that up to a cloud system in case your house burns down. Backblaze.com has ulimited storage for 5 bucks a month and will back up from an external drive unlike Carbonite and Mozy. _________________ Jeff

thanks Jeffrey. I've just bookmarked that site, to explore and register later on this week. _________________ Intuit and do it!

I just happen to be backing up my main computer as I type this. (From another computer, of course.) Thanks for recommending Backblaze, Jeffrey. I need to check it out. _________________ Lisa |
