Okay thanks to Philip Banks and Kasey for helping me test this thing out!

We learned one thing today. MOTU Ultralite and Skype for phone patch
don't seem to play well together.

But Apogee Duet and Skype get along just fine

I have used Skype as my sole office phone for almost four years, rather than a traditional VOIP system. On ATT it is was solid, on Time Warner Cable it was a little less reliable, but still very useable. On FiOS it's 100% reliable. It's much better than using my T-mobile Android phone at home which relies on WIFI because I am in a T-mo-hole. The ONLY caveat is the slight delay, but you get used to it. It's great to be anywhere and always have the same phone number.


Windows users: Uncheck the box in Skype Options Sound for "Let Skype Automatically adjust" or your record levels will change constantly.
Mac users: Google "Disable AGC Skype Mac" and you'll find the solution. I HATE how software engineers dumb down options for Mac users, sometimes, and other times I consider it a feature.
