Pardon the flag-waving, but I'm pleased to announce that my first audiobook is now available. More info here, including a sample chapter:
How to Do Nothing With Nobody All Alone By Yourself
Small bit o' trivia: I read the entire book from my iPhone. _________________ Justin S. Barrett

Excellent, Justin! I'd listen to you for another hour and a half.
I like the style that you took on for the book. It suits what is written - super casual and very easy to listen to.
I used to record scripts on my iPhone too. I ended up with some really terrible fonts on some jobs and wanted to tear my hair out. Long form stuff was a nightmare for me - I was straining my eyes like crazy.
(I feel like we may have already discussed this on Twitter, but it could have been someone else...)
Anyway, congrats again on your first audiobook and I hope you get a great response! _________________ www.mattcowlrick.com |

Thanks, gang. I had a lot of fun working on that book, even during the parts near the end where the author's frequent mention of rubber bands kept messing with my mouth muscles.
DB: You are correct. I hadn't heard of the book before, but saw it while browsing through the Tin House site, and thought it looked like a lot of fun, so I asked that Iambik try to get the rights for it. They did, and because I requested it, I got first dibs at submitting a narration sample to the publisher. I've also asked for his other book along the same line: "Where Did You Go? Out. What Did You Do? Nothing." Here's hoping I can get it! _________________ Justin S. Barrett

Congrats on the book... I'm narrating my first couple at the moment, and believe me, when the first one hits the catalogue, you'll all be the first to know!
And... big ups for the pro-active way you got the gig. That wasn't waiting for an opportunity, that was going out and making one. Well done.
Cheers
