I just wanted to say that Josh is an honest guy and great to deal with! We've done some trades and transactions in the past without a hitch. _________________ John Weeks Voice Overs

Someone elsewhere requested a sample of the MKH and NTG side by side so I thought I'd post it here too. Zip file includes the MHK, NTG, and an EQ matched version of the NTG sample to make it sound like the 416, at least in my room. Pic of the EQ curve done with Logic's Match EQ included too.

I believe this has been posted before, but with the EQ matching, yes, the mics are almost identical. The EQ does add that upper end bump to the NTG and upon closer listen, the EQ adds a bit of color on that end that the Senn 416 doesn't have. |

I posted a couple samples a few months back, but these are new ones I recorded today for a guy interested in the mic.
Yeah, with EQ they do sound quite similar. I was pretty surprised. _________________ Josh Mahler

For anyone that's on the fence about the NTG...I'll have mine with me at Faffcon. You can test drive it live if you're interested. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.
