Since my hard drive crash, apparently my CD burning software doesn't work with my operating system---I rarely use it, but sometimes need one...

So, time for new software to burn CD's---What's good and still economical?

Bill,

If you're using Windows, this is the software I started using a few years ago:

http://cdburnerxp.se/

Not only is it a simple program that does everything I need, it's free. (And even though it has "XP" in the file name, it runs fine in Win7.)

Ashampoo Burning Studio Free is another good one. You can find it on Cnet's download section.
