I, too, am deeply saddened by this news. Thanks for making it sticky, Deirdre. I enjoyed meeting him in person at VOICE 2010. _________________ Be well,

I met Mike at Voice 2010, and have had numerous exchanges on forums and facebook with him. Some serious, some silly. One of my favorite people -- I will truly miss him, and so will the world at large. He was a good man. _________________ Diane

I don't know of anyone who was more generous with his time and talent... Such a huge loss to the community.
Prayers for all his friends and family in this time of shock and sorrow... _________________ Always look on the bright side of life.

I'm in shock- and heart broken. What a generous, smart, funny, connected human being. Getting to meet Mike at Voice in LA was great- and getting to know him via this little corner of the web and Fakebook was even better - what a joy of a person he was- so damn sad. He will most certainly be missed by me and so, so many. _________________ Moe Egan

I can't count how many places I've worked for (outside of VO) where "that's good enough" was the mindset. Neither professionalism nor quality can exist with that kind of thinking.
Mike and I had never met, but we did enjoy some 'lively' exchanges on this and other forums. I have the highest respect and admiration for anyone whose goal is to do things the right way. Mike was such a person, and we could definitely stand to have more people like him.
Rest in Peace, Mike. You made more friends than you may know. _________________ Mike

I literally screamed at my computer "WHAT?????? NOOOO!" When I saw this this morning.
He was so generous to me as well when he gave me such amazing advice right here on the VO-BB about my possible built in Upstate NY.
Wow.
Godspeed Mike. _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

I am very sad about this and my thoughts go out to his family and the many friends he made. Just last Tuesday he gave me support and praise on some of my new work. He certainly didn't have to in my case. I thanked him, and I wish now I could thank him for the many things he shared with everyone as a passionate and intelligent advocate of technical and artistic quality in the Voice Over world. He helped a lot of people, including me. So, thank you, Mike. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

i've been thinking about this over coffee and i'm still in kind of a daze about how a guy i never met in person helped me in so many ways - both directly - and indirectly through conversations with others. mike and i didn't always agree, but that's probably because i'm a stubborn idiot. the guy knew his stuff and gave away that knowledge - free for the asking. godspeed, friend. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

What happened? Mike designed my studio, which will start construction in November. I was hoping he would hear the difference he made.
Was it health, an accident?
