Hey Matt. I did do that one. Too rushed in one take to be really effective. Weekend Workout is so populated now that I'm afraid it may not last. The folks that are doing the critique are now faced with 60+ auditions. That's tough for anyone with an already busy schedule. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

...did anyone else not get their critique back from the session we were gifted with at faffcon3?
i never heard anything back, although the praise i received from david goldberg and dan friedman was gratifying enough.
just curious. _________________ rowell gormon

Oops! I wasn't in your thingie, so I didn't know the scoop. David Goldberg sent me the feedback! I didn't understand that you guys hadn't received it, and I didn't quite know what to do next...
Come to think of it, that's still true! If anyone would like to a) explain this to me and b) be the captain of whatever the next step is, I'd be so grateful! _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

The link to the results of the Faffcon workout are on the Voiceregistry page under the past workouts. The guest director was Hugh P. Klitzke. You may need an account to be able to see them, but I'm not sure??? _________________ Back into the murky lurk from whence I came

Chuck --congrats on the positive feedback. I also did the workout this week and I thought his critiques were pretty much spot on. I had specifically listened to your audition and then your critique and thought they were both awesome .... so maybe you should consider branching into promos a bit more
And, like you, I am also a bit nervous that perhaps these weekend workouts won't last and/or that somehow the format will change a bit. It's a huge chunk o' time for working v/o talents/agents/producers etc to take out of their schedule...but it's an awesome opportunity to get feedback and I'll keep doing it as long as it lasts.
Congrats again! _________________ -Lori

That was some great feedback, Chuck, and well deserved! I really liked your audition. I'd planned to submit one but psyched myself out. Have determined to definitely do it this weekend though! Now I've put it out there, I can't not _________________ Arlene Cooke

OK... so I joined. I usually have to be hit over the head quite a few times before it finally sinks in, and when you said you're afraid there will be "too many", I figured that was my cue. Hopefully, it won't be 'me' that is the 'too many'.
I'm looking forward to the challenge and the critique. And I too was impressed with your audition and the feedback. What I want to know is, Ratner said you could steal all his business, but did he tell you HOW to steal it? |

I'm with Amy on the week-end workouts. Good stuff, and good for finding out your weak spots, so you can go get some proper training and focus for improvement. _________________ Intuit and do it!

Ok, so I finally did the Weekend Workout. And it wasn't a disaster Well, not a total disaster. Marc Graue said some good things about my read (yay!) but my new laptop/preamp system totally failed me. Major hiss going on! Am relying on my consult with George Whittam tomorrow night to pinpoint (and fix!) my problem. In the meantime, I'm halfway through an internet commercial job, so I'm really hoping I get this worked out quickly. _________________ Arlene Cooke
