Is it possible to share a DropBox Folder without having the person you are sharing with create and log in with a Drop Box account? or is this only a limitation with the free account?

I figured out that you can right click on your Public folder and create a shareable link that can be pasted into an email, enabling the person to access a group of files without having to create an account.

Can one create a separate folder within the Public folder and share this link?

everything inside the public folder should be publicly viewable, including folders.

It creates a direct link to that file only that you paste into your e-mail.

I was referring more to groups of files in a folder as opposed to copying links to individual files.

Easy to test this yourself: Copy the public folder link, log out and then try the link as if you didn't have dropBox account. What happens?

You can pretty much share a link to your public folder, so if a specific folder loaded with files is WITHIN the public folder, that gets shared..

I was really wondering if it's possible to share one specific folder independent of the Public folder, but after messing with it awhile today, I don't think what I'm looking to do is possible.

in the iPhone Dropbox AHobo Tounge, it seems like the links only work with individual files.
