Hello...first time poster, got a question. Been using Focusrite Saffire Pro 10 i/o (firewire) to rec into AA 1.5. Has anyone connected a Mackie 1640i firewire at the same time as the Focusrite to rec into AA 1.5...or anything similar. Will AA 1.5 recognize the two simultaneously or reject one.... |

I've never dealt with FireWire so I'm not positive about this, but I think this would be a bit tricky. It may depend on your OS aswell as your drivers.
But why use FireWire output on the Focusrite anyway, when the Mackie is an interface by itself? Is it because you want to avoid any analogue connections? _________________ Regards,

Thanks for the response Jacob. Actually, I just wanted to take advantage of all the xlr in's. Truth is I can do with the 16 the Mackie has. If and when I do get it, I will connect it together with the Focusrite just to see if AA 1.5 will recognize the two simultaneously and I will post to let you know. |

Shouldn't you be able to Daisy Chain them? The Mackie has 2 Firewire ports and that is what I thought they were for. |
