For anyone that might be on the fence, I just installed OSX-Lion on my Macbook Pro. Pro Tools 8.0.3 runs just fine! _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

With PT 8.0.3 it's been fine. Rock solid. As for earlier or later versions I can't say. Check compatability docs and the DUC to be sure. I think I remember reading about a patch for PT 9. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

I'm running PT9.06 (which officially supports Lion) with no issues. |

Thanks Chuck!
It's funny what you remember as a kid. I saw the Jetson's episode with "Uniblab" only one time, but it stuck with me until this day.

My two cents on iPhone/Pro Tools on the same Mac.
It always seems to lead to trouble...
I just installed PT10 on a Lion Mac and it has been working OK for a client.
Weird thing about PT9/10 is no longer will you get an error message that it can't find your Mbox. It will just switch to another audio device and confuse the user. You decide which is better. It is very nice to bring an Apogee One with your Macbook Air and still have Pro Tools with your processing chain, though. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

I believe that is due to Pro Tools 9 and above no longer requiring hardware to run. While it might confuse some, it might be a good thing for folks who only want to run with software via Aggregate I/O. |
