met with friends last night for a christmas cookie decorating party. things were about what you'd expect until the wine started flowing.

DW's favorite cookie? The gingerbread man in Shreck. "Not my gumdrop buttons!" gets her rolling on the floor laughing.
A side note: DW has never made peanut brittle in all our years together until now. I found out why. It keeps getting intercepted on its way to the gift bags by me and anyone else in the vicinity! ...."Here, we made this bag of peanut brittle crumbs for you".
One of her secrets? Just a tiny bit of red chili powder. It's not spicy. It just "lifts" the flavor profile as she like to say. Holy cow.
