2012 Top Tip. If all YOU do is talk about YOU and YOUR career here or anywhere else YOU are missing out. In 2012, engage with others.

I posted the above on Voiceover Universe the site where everyone talks and no one listens to such an extent that even the person who set up the site can't be bothered to visit or contribute most of the time. In our business too much ME....ME...ME has reached epidemic proportions.

For the most part we are paid to make a pile of auld shite sound interesting so if we must talk about ourselves start with that pile of auld shite.

My goals for 2012? Smile more, listen more and try to help out where and when I can.

Cheers, I'll keep it in mind. Right now a lot of it's mental.

This year I adopt and vow to live with all my soul and as the most curious of children...

And, to those unfortunately suffering from a cold, Happy Dew Year.

Love the advice, thanks Philip! I totally agree. Relationships will always excel when both parties actually engage. There's only the rare few people out there who are completely incapable of engaging back, and it's frustrating as hell. Laugh

Here, here! I second the motion. It's all about engaging, serving and enjoying life. Sorting out our core goals and values for guidance in 2012, and getting out and about for some face to face action. Meeting people from various professions and avenues of life for diversity, increased life knowledge and fun. ...Right! Off to the pub soon for a quiet drink (or two or three) to welcome the new year. Happy new year, vo-bb beloveds! You are my rock AND you rock! ^..^ x
