or.... uh... should I have put this in Work?
Quote: | Job Description
I am looking for an English Speaking Voiceover Talent who:
1. Has English as their native language, or otherwise has no non-English accent whatsoever
2. Is able to speak and articulate fluently
3. Can speak in different styles as required, such as for commercials, business presentations and different tones such as serious, happy, excited etc
British, American, Irish, Australian, New Zealand etc accent is fine. Both male and female applicants accepted.
Most jobs will be just for a recording of up to 60 seconds, and script will be provided.
Interested applicants, please send me a sample recording of your voiceover (at least 30 seconds), topic of your choosing.
The budget I have stated is for every 5 minutes of recording... i.e. $5 for 5 x 60 seconds. I may not necessarily give you 5 jobs at once. More than likely, it's one job at a time.
I WILL PAY YOU BY THE MINUTE. This means that if you do just one recording for me of only 60 seconds of your time, you get paid $1.
That's an equivalent of $60/hour. Successful applicants can expect long term assignments.

If I get the whole script in with no flubs, bonus for you..."

The really, really sad part is that no doubt he/she got MANY interested replies to this, no doubt smitten by that magical "$60 an hour" incredible wage promise! (because, on top of the arrogance of such an insulting low-balling and misleading "offer", we all know it really only DOES take us exactly 60 minutes to voice, edit and upload 60 minutes of audio... not a moment more.) _________________ Scott R.
