Voice 2010 was great for me as being newish to the US market, I got to meet some amazing people.

However, the most I learned was when I was hanging out at the bar, going out for dinners, kicking back in the room with Connie (luv!) and general chit chat outside of the Voice2010 lectures ... ... hang on ... what a great idea! maybe we should form a conference where ...

'nuff said. FaffCon is da bomb. Hands down.
[however if peeps are around, I could be coerced into playing at Disneyland for the day! Smile

I have to pay all my own expenses to speak at the GDC.
I can't afford the privilege of speaking at another conference, I'm afraid.

I'm going to FaffCon and I'm going to VOICE. Why VOICE? I was asked to speak, I've never been to VOICE, and I've never been to Disneyland. I'm looking forward to it!

All that aside, I'm going to VOICE for my head and FaffCon for my heart...

Faffcon is meant for working VO professionals; it's part of their admission requirements. VOICE conferences appear to be geared for newbies, wannabes, and part-timers, plus all the people who want to sell those attendees something. Sure, there's some valuable advice for professionals sprinkled throughout a VOICE conference, but price per pound Faffcon's the place to go if you're a working talent.
