one of a FREEKING kind!!!

i became a BIG Chess Records fan in the late '80s then i met Ms. James in the island records tent at bluesfest in chicago in 1991. she was a PEACH!

everybody is talking about "At Last" but my fav is "Something's Got A Hold On Me."

Marcy photographed Etta at a charity funtion a number of years ago. I tagged along got a banquet dinner and met Etta. She liked us it was late so she invited us to breakfast. We couldn't go Cries What a talented dynamic kind soul and could could she sing!

She was the best, so sad her and Johnny Otis the same week. Johnny takes credit for discovering Etta James and producing her first hit single "Roll With Me, Henry"---such strange coincidences with magical musicians.

It is truly a sad day for us all when a talent like Etta James leaves this mortal place. What I want to share is not to darken her light but to share a talent that will carry forth here muse.

Jamiee Paul is her name. I came to know of her because I produce and host a jazz program www.jotm.org and I get regular submission from
promoter.

If you like jazz and torch songs you most likely will like this. Near the end is a moment that will take you breath away.

Yes it's sad to loose great talent like Ms James but it's good to know she inspired folks to carry forward.
