It was through this extremely helpful family of VO'ers, that I was provided step by step help in acquiring and securing an ISDN setup, from start to finish.
Of course I gave it a shot first, but when no one at my local phone co had the slightest idea what this 'ISDN' was, I decided to give the recommended name of Dave Immer a try.
$150 down and Dave had all the answers I needed, from availability to cost. Once it was outlined and I made my decision, Dave, within two days had a contract from my phone company to install an ISDN line. In spite of the fact that my phone company called me to try to talk me out of it, saying there was much better ways to get 'The Internet' (they STILL couldn't understand what I wanted), the installation was flawless and smooth. Once it was hooked up, we gave it a test and the task was complete. Dave has certainly earned his reputation as an ISDN Genie and well worth his 'Turnkey' fee. He can do magic where most mortals fail.
I also want to thank the many who pointed me towards ISDN codecs and gave me advice re Telos as opposed to Musicam. I ended up going with a Musicam that came through a recommendation from VO-BB member Kevin Genus. Kevin said he knew of someone in NY, that may have one. He put me in touch and we worked a deal for a Prima LT that was in mint condition and price that absolutely couldn't be beat.
So offering credit where credit is due, a big THANK YOU to all. I am ISDN ready and coincidentally today I received and inquiry that looks like my first ISDN gig is about to be booked.
Happy New Year! And thanks again!!! _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

That's why I pass all ISDN issues to Dave, great having him part of my virtual team! _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
