Just got up and running with the home-ISDN thing and wanted to give props to George Whittam for getting me a lead on a great used Telos Xstream, and to Dave Immer of Digifon for taking care of pretty much everything else... I know everyone here who has used Dave's services has raved about how much easier he makes the process and you can add me to the list of ringing endorsers. Thank you both so much for your help.
I must say, it was reallllllyyyy nice yesterday at the end of my 1st ISDN session here, being able to press that "drop" button and not have to worry about editing/converting/uploading an hour-and-15-minutes worth of audio... that wasn't even something I considered when weighing the pros and cons of getting ISDN but it definitely adds value to the investment. _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker

Super news, Chris! Competent professional help is huge and well worth the investment, I say. Glad that it all went so smoothly for you and the benefit was immediately apparent!

Great Chris, it's fantastic isn't it?! I've had ISDN for 10 months now and love it. Not only is it the convenience of not having to edit, but it really helps with forging relationships with producers and those who are in a position to hire you in the future. It makes voicing from home a social job and not isolatory. _________________ https://www.darrenaltman.com/

Thanks for that, Darren - those are some good things to remember, since I do plan to face the ISDN issue in the future. _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

Another unexpected bonus: there are more "ISDN only" jobs on V123 than I realized. Seems like every day this week there have been a couple that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to submit for... and they seem to draw far fewer responses than general job postings, so from a numbers standpoint the odds of booking are better. _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker
