Then there are the differences across the pond. I was listening to a David Attenborough nature film and he pronounced "migratory" my-GRATE-uh-ree, while we say MY-gruh-tor-ee.

cool. - yeah - the pond! i was watching an auto show saturday where the guy kept saying CAR-brator - rather than my car-BUH-rator ... it was unsettling.

I noticed that the poem contained the word "mirage" but the author failed to take the opportunity to rhyme it with "garage."

Garage is a funny one! Some say garage as in mirage (aahhhrrrjj) and others say ga-ridge...it doesn't really matter unless you're talking about the genre of music, rather than the place you would park your car! If you said garaaahhhge...you would get laughed outta da club innit man! x

Then there are the UK dialects where they only pronounce the occasional consonant. Butter is BUH-uh.
Not a lot of voiceover for those folks but plenty of character work on the telly.

And a fair amount of TV work here in the USA -- selling frying pans and stuff on late night infomercials.
