Just got new computer with windows 7. When I downloaded Audacity and try to record ,it says there is no input selector...it is greyed out. I go from mic to pre amp so I want to go to line in..

need a heckuvalot more information. What's your pre-amp? have you installed drivers? etc etc....

Agreed. I run Audacity on my Win7 road rig, so we should be able to get him up and running with a lil more info....

Did you get the optional reverse-stidostat?

Try clicking on "transport" at the top and then select "rescan audio devices"
