I'm still working out the final touches (and threw it together pretty quickly and ad-hoc last week) but this voice over quiz is fully functional ; hopefully fun for folks 'tween auditions, gigs etc. (?) ... _________________ Scott Reyns, voice talent serving major metros (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York) and beyond |

A nice mix of "common sense" and "head knowledge". _________________ "Bailey"

I almost passed (not really - I passed twice). I thought I knew biz, but you did make me think. Great, fun, interesting tool for future VOists and current ones alike.

Yikes. Only got 11 out of 16.
That does it. I'm going back to my day job as a nuclear physicist. It's a lot simpler. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

I'm glad to know that I'm scoring as well as Scott P! Now I don't feel bad!
I'm not going to give away any of the questions but there was one in there that cracked me right up. Nice job on developing this, Scott!

I was the same as you, Lee...

I go back to the days when I used to wear my cans and adjust the pot while I put a tertiary on a cart during a dub from an Ampex, and have been totally immersed in biz terminology ever since, but somehow 3 of those were (apparently) beyond my ken.

I was down three as well but still made the "expert" cut (whew). In sharing an Ampex memory with Bruce, one of the great joys of my career was when I was hired by a station that had a four track. The only razor blades that were used after that were when the record promoters showed up. (Don't ask me to explain that)
I was also trying to count up the pair of Koss Pro4AA headphones I went through and the amount of oil that ran down the side of my head when one of the ear pads had a leak. The good thing about the Pro4AA's is, their weight gave you a neck like a football player.
Thanks for the test. Enjoyable! _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

Can't decide which made me tear out more hair, sales people or Clevite Brush headphones. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
