Don't they?
Yesterday afternoon I was roughhousing with my 50 lb. or so 'puppy', my one-year old German Shepherd mix, "Lizzie". She plays hard. I was leaning over her when she flung her head straight up, catching me squarely on the underside of my jaw with enough force to toss my head straight up. As a result it made me bite my tongue on both outer sides. Today I have hours of e-learning and audiobooks to narrate with a swollen tongue.
Karma? Fate? dumb luck? Payback? Who knows.
Just goes to show ya, you never know what may happen, or when, or how.

Don't read too much into it... it's just dumb luck. Sh*t happens! Start sucking on ice cubes... that's worked for me.
Now, if the eLearning is about the care and well-being of domestic animals... spooky!

No Alum in the house, DB. I'm going to hit the bottle of spiced rum instead. Might not help the tongue, but it'll make it so I don't care.
