Hey kids! I must have done something by accident, and now in Audition, I can't see my file names in the FILES section on the left.

Take a look, and let me know if you can help. Frown

they are all there as well. Just the file names are gone... I must have changed a setting. I closed down my computer, then started it up again, and still, nada. ARG

Go into Workspace at the top right.
Choose Reset Current Workspace.
Discard and see what happens

Yes. I shut down my whole computer and restarted. I'm sure I must have accidentally reset something to not show file names. Probably hit some CTRL plus some key by accident. Cry

In the frame where your filename usually appears do you have the bottom Sort By set to Filename? You might have to click the little eye icon at the top right of the frame to show the option.

My guess is that you inadvertently engaged the "Hide Files" option.

Click the Show Options button at the top of the Files panel to display option buttons at the bottom of the panel.

Use the option buttons to:

...show or hide files according to type, select one or more of the following buttons: Show Audio Files , Show Loop Files , Show Video Files , and Show MIDI Files .

EDIT: Ooops! What Eddie said!
