He made a lot of us, while either stoned or straight, laugh our heads off along with his compatriots in the Firesign Theater comedy troupe using just their voices and a few sound effects. Someone called them the Beatles of comedy. I'd buy that. RIP Peter.

When I set my clock ahead for DST (which I should already have done) I will be sure to exclaim, "Forward -- into the past!"

Everything You Know Is Wrong, IMO contains some of the most classic parodies I've ever heard. Highlighted by Reebus Caneebus, jumping into the center of the earth.

I was fortunate enough to hear them from their beginning as radio actors on the legendary KHobo ToungeC, Los Angeles, in the late 60's. Sunday nights for me were never TV... Always KHobo ToungeC.

I got the news just minutes before I was to go on stage at a fan convention and do cerebral sketch comedy with a 4-member group....freaky. Big Firesign influence here, and PB will be definitely missed.

uhCLEM.
