Very, very impressive, but I'd like to have a word with the audio people for almost totally mixing the girl out of the final product. What I could hear of her she was quite good too.

I watched the show, but turned it off before these two came on! Johnathan has an incredible voice, his mate was quite a bit flat in places, maybe that's why she was turned down in the mix.

I love things like this, especially when Simon said "just when you think things couldn't get any worse as they came on stage. Let's hope his life is changed for the better. Such a talent.

I've shown this to three chorus classes today...absolute stunned silence after they start singing, then tears. Some of them can identify with him, some judged him as Simon did and realized their mistake.

Very often, the young singers (9, 10, 11) who sing with a huge voice are doing so with an affectation. His voice seems completely normal and natural - it's his, it's not a forced sound, I don't mind showing this to my kids.

I do agree with Simon though, there were a couple of times that she seemed to be absolutely screeching...but Jonathan was right to stand with her and stick up for her. He'll have a career after this show no matter what happens.
