Yesterday evening I was tinkering with the settings on my camera in prep for my adventure. This was never meant to be a photo, I was jus' fiddlin'

Philip
It has been lamented that digital photography has meant the loss of many serendipitous photo. Often happy accidents get deleted before a fair appraisal.
First off fiddling has done you well with this one. I am not sure if this post is full frame or cropped, it really does not matter. Your instinctual action to snap the photo when you did and any cropping that may have occurred is your purview
I say fiddle away in India and bring us back a portfolio of gorgeous views.
Well done old man. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

What's really amazing, to this inexperienced eye, is how he got all the waves to line up like that, pointing straight to the sun, but not so linearly as to make it look staged; just enough variation, and just in the foreground. That is the true artistry in it.
I am humbled. |

Beautiful picture! I wish my "best effort" photos were nearly as good as your fiddlin'. _________________ John LaPiana

Looks like you have a leak in your basement.
Seriously, though - stunning capture! Makes me glad that I still live right near the ocean. _________________ www.mattcowlrick.com |

I'm awaiting my new camera to arrive so I can go through pre-trip practice, too, although I'm not leaving until May 6th, but I love to do photography.
Philip, that's breathtaking. Simply very touching in a way that I cannot fully express... you have a good eye. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Phillip DB helped me put this together. It’s a virtual toast. And as the first VO-BB er to receive it we wish you Bon Voyage. Good luck on changing planes in Frankfurt.
