1. Get national TV promo work. When phone rings answer it and say your name and when the national/international/network promo producer asks if you are available for session say "yes".

I have found the above method to be foolproof.

(merrily jotting this down)

Pardon me, but what sort of phone should I get for this? I have this can and string that I was told I could use for getting national promo work and I just wanted to make sure.

there is a very specific gauge and brand of string that most producers prefer ... but nobody will tell me what it is.

PB, the POB at the VSB once again nails it with a piece of advice that is worthy of printing on an inspirational poster (an thence endlessly on FacePalm).

This pilgrimage to the home of Biryani and numerous Yogis (not to mention Boo Boos) has obviously fired-up our wandering voiceoverist. I expect more inspirational pearls of wisdom as the days pass.

Have fun, Philip cool

That's easily the shortest (and best) chapter ever written on how to obtain national/international/network promo.

Look for it as part of Philip's upcoming 3 page tour de force (farce?)

I'm stealing this (and Greg's punchline) for my next comic.

I tried it, as well. No work for me, either, but now I know when the guy is coming to fertilize my lawn.
