not to take the thread this way - but an old friend (HE wasn't, out friendship was) passed friday - he had just been put on the list for a double lung transplant - couldn't get enough ait to talk anymore and, i suspect, said "screw it." larry was a guy who i admired for many of the reasons on the list. he went to war - came home & did what he was "supposed to do" - got a job he hated, a mortgage and all that went along with it. at 50 he got into radio & was good at it. at 52 he went back to college and got a degree in secondary education, working his way through on the radio at night. he graduated and got a job teaching english in a not-so-great neighborhood in st. louis and did so for the next 12 years.
i know he was happy.
he hated that i rarely use upper-case.
i am going to the farm today. see ya. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Another YES.
Wow. Heart you guys- thinking of you all.
This weekend I went back to an old love, starring in a silly short film. I worked 16 hour days, didn't make a dime, and will receive no notoriety for it.
I'd like to do it all again this next weekend.
Living. Sure is an awesome thing we get to do! _________________ Threadjackers local 420
