The Cap and Younger Bear.
The Avengers movie has some serious continuity flaws right out for the gate, but once the plot got rolling it was great fun. Some really grand performances. Especially Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I have my Captain America shirt ready for tonight, I decided to leave the shield on the wall though, I wouldn't want people to think I was a geek or something.

I went, reluctantly, as I'm utterly burned out on all the endless Marvel comic-books-turned-movies. But my wife wanted to see it and I wanted a date with my wife.
I had a blast.
Very, very fun, with a good, clever script. Some terrific one-liners. And, DD, I agree with you about Downey, Jr. and Ruffalo. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

I'm doing my warm-up as well... Iron Man 1 & Cap'n America over the weekend and Thor tonight... I may actually pass on Iron Man 2. I thought it was ... meh. Talking of Robert Downey and sequels... I watched the Sherlock Holmes sequel... sorry, but talk about going through the motions! _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Just came back from an afternoon showing.
Genuinely funny jokes. Clever dialogue with some funny call-backs, and strong performances by parts of the cast. Love the way Tony Stark was written in this film. Definitely more fleshed out than in Iron Man 2. Pepper Potts was also less of a female one-note character.
With all that said, however, I have to give a less favourable opinion of Tom Hiddleston. Too big and 'acty' for this film.
The jokes in themselves felt like they could be in a Michael Bay movie, but instead of being corny, they were brilliantly written and delivered.
Well worth a watch, guys. True entertainment. |

Saw the IMAX 3D version last night.
The Hulk stole the movie. Whoever was the lead character animator rocked that work.
My sister wants to go see it, so I may HAVE to go see it again. WOO! _________________ Company, villainous company, hath been the spoil of me...

I'll go see it again while it's in the big theaters. There's just a ton to enjoy in it.
Frankly it looks like they made a 4-hour film and had to slice out pieces, but all in all it's a good ride. Not a great film, but certainly a splendid evening's entertainment. _________________ DBCooperVO.com
