Hi guys,

I'm new here, and been dabbling in the world of VO for a bit, but hardly any work at the moment, I have a demo, but I think it's pretty rubbish, so am after a VO coach and would prefer it to be skype, even maybe someone to just listen to my demo and say 'yes your rubbish, give up' that would be enough for me.

I'm in the UK, so does anyone have any suggestions, I have seen a site www.thevocoach.com with Kevin Delaney, he seems very reasonably priced, but sometimes that can be a bad sign.

Thanks for any advise...

Paul

Dear Paul,

Whenever you look for a coach, it's a good idea to take a look at the kind of work they do besides coaching, or what they did before becoming a full-time coach. Is it impressive? is it germane to what you want to learn?

This will give you an idea of their pedigree.

For some coaches, Skype is great; others don't like it and prefer a hardline phone or face-to-face.

Reasonable fee doesn't automatically equal lame coaching. But ask people you know and trust about any coach you're interested in— don't just read the testimonials.

All the best—
Deirdre B.

I'm sure you're referring to Kevin the Stoat-Strangler?
