Make sure to put a load on the machine while testing. I recommend streaming video (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).... If the fan ramps up under load, you'll know it quickly. Idle noise is one thing, but having a fan spin up is entirely another. _________________ Don Brookshire

You are right; load does make for fan running. But I always invoke the Inverse Square Law http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse-square_law
