Not an obvious gift but a gift it was.
Yesterday. Session No4. Organised by an agent. I printed the script and went into my "Wee Huttie" at the appointed hour.
All I had to do was add the narration to a piece about a group of people who look after the educational needs of sick children who spend prolonged periods in hospital or being nursed at home. I'd never really thought about it before but I was made to think. As a child what was most important to me? My school, may be not my education (book learnin') but the entire package. Had I been taken out of school the degree of isolation would have made any illness too much!
There is nothing worse than an over written documentary, wall to wall words simply pollute the message. I'm delighted to say that in the case of this moving yet very positive story my contribution if played in one lump was only 4 minutes 7 seconds.
Work is work but the script was written for me and the story opened my eyes ...what a gift! |

Sometime we get to realize how lucky we really are.
Thanks for the reminder.

So cool, Philip. I know that kind of stuff doesn't come along every day, but it's one of the big reasons I find VO work appealing. Glad this one came your way! _________________ jen@jengosnell.com
