OK, so Audition stopped working with my Echo Gina card a few days ago and I switched to the MicPortPro until I had a moment to troubleshoot.
Tested the Gina card with VoxStudio and it works fine.
But Audition just freezes up with the Gina card selected. It will record using a cheapie mic/headset using the onboard sound card.
Both Audition 2 and 3 are locking up with the Gina.
Any ideas why it works with VoxStudio and not with Audition?

Before firing up AA, try resetting the Gina's I/O's to 44.1/48k (whatever you use to record and is preset in AA). Gina does not remember specs from another card - yes, even the M .
Once set up in the Gina interface you should be able to fire up AA without a problem.
Also, make sure you select the Gina in AA for both Multitrack and Edit. Put the card in the top position. Gina is a good girl, but temperamental at times.
